Hack for Good at the Colorado Code For Communities Civic Hackathon

Are you a developer or designer in the Denver area?

Don’t miss out on the Colorado Code For Communities Civic Hackathon, being held July 27th – 29th at Uncubed Coworking in Denver. This free event will bring together non-profits, government agencies, data providers, programmers, civic hackers, designers and anyone with an idea or stake in our community.

On Friday night, participants will pitch their app ideas and choose teams. Over the next 36 hours, teams will code and hack away at apps that will improve the lives of people in Denver.

These apps could help people and organizations answer questions like:

  • How do I get around the region quickly and affordably using a mix of transportation options?
  • What is the true cost of my housing choice, including rent/mortgage and transportation?
  • Where are all the vacant lots, and what is the process of purchasing and developing these lots?
  • What does my neighborhood look like in terms of diversity, and how can I connect with my neighbors?
  • How can I connect with my local government to participate and contribute to civic decision-making?
Check out the Colorado Code For Communities Ideas Forum to see more app ideas or contribute your own before the event.

If you plan on attending, make sure you RSVP at the hackathon Eventbrite page.

Bring your talents, ideas and creativity, and get ready to have a great time!
