Attention hackers, developers, and data junkies, API Hackday is coming to Boulder on November 8th. The all-day event will be held from 8am – 7pm at the Microsoft Bing offices, located just a block off of Pearl street in downtown Boulder.
API Hackday brings developers together for a full day of coding, focused on building apps with APIs. Developers of all experience levels can share ideas, collaborate on projects, start new ventures, and discover great tools and new APIs.
APIs enable developers to integrate powerful features and data into their applications quickly and with little or no upfront cost. By leveraging cloud infrastructure, SaaS tools, high-level programming languages, and open source software, it’s possible to build an insanely great app quickly and with far less effort than in the past. Programmable Web currently lists 4241 APIs, and the list is growing daily.
Participants will hear from some of the country’s top API-focused companies on tips, tricks, and tools for creating the next big app. At the end of the day, teams and/or individuals get a chance to present their work to a panel of judges for the chance to win some killer prizes.
API Hackday Boulder is brought to you by FullContact, Mashery, ReportGrid, SendGrid, SpotInfluence, and Twilio, with help from Bing and Defrag. And special thanks to Tim Falls for coordinating the event.
