Hey, everyone! Thanks for checking out this week’s Two Minute Drill.

Today I’m going to show you how to export a competitor’s Twitter followers using a tool called BirdSong. BirdSong is at birdsongdtt.com. That’s birdsong, D as in David, T as in Thomas, T as in Thomas, .com.

BirdSong does a number of things along the analytical front. But I think exporting someone’s Twitter followers is probably one of the most powerful things you can do with it.

So, you can sign up for a free account, and that allows you to free reports. It works with Twitter and Facebook currently, and I believe they’re adding Google Plus and some others in the future. So, I ran a report on @FullContactAPI, and you can see you’re taken to a pretty basic overview page of followers, following, some tweet patterns, time of day type stuff.

But to export followers, you can pop up here to this Followers tab, and you’ll see this button over here that says Export Followers. Well, that’s a pretty powerful tool to be able to pull that into a spreadsheet and run your own analytics on that data.So whether that’s finding the most influential people within that network or using our Person API, for example, to find other social networks that those people are on, you can do a number of different things with that data.

So, birdsongdtt.com: a pretty simple way to export a competitor or an industry professional’s Twitter followers, and learn a lot of valuable data about them. So thanks for checking us out, and we’ll see you next week.
