FullContact Acquires Brewster

Today, I’m excited to announce that FullContact has acquired Brewster.

Brewster and FullContact have long shared similar visions of how contact management should work for the world:

  • We both believe that the world needs a unified address book that takes care of itself.
  • We both believe that contact information should “just work” for every person and every business on the planet.
  • We both believe that success in life is all about people.
  • We both share the same values outlined in FullContact’s Five Laws of Privacy.

So, when we learned that the Brewster team started working at RBI, it simply made sense for FullContact and Brewster to get together to provide a home for Brewster users in the long run.

What’s Next

While we’d love to keep both the FullContact and Brewster platforms running, it doesn’t make sense financially to do so in the long run.

Since Brewster and FullContact offer many overlapping features our customers know and love, we’ve decided to provide Brewster users the ability to migrate to the FullContact platform.

As part of the transition, we’ll offer existing Brewster customers credit for any premium subscription fees they’ve already paid. In addition, all Brewster users will receive FullContact Premium service completely free for three months when they migrate from Brewster to FullContact.

Brewster users: to continue taking advantage of the features you enjoy today, log in to your Brewster account here and learn more about how to claim your FullContact account.

Thanks

I want to personally thank Steve Greenwood, Brewster’s Founder & CEO, for all his efforts as part of the transition. He’s been an awesome partner and I have really enjoyed working with him.

On that note – I have long believed that there is a Special Relationship Between CEOs.

For CEOs that have spent a big chunk of their lives focusing on solving the maddening, insanely difficult problem of contact management, I think this is especially true.

So thank you Steve – I want to personally wish you the best in your next venture. On behalf of everyone at FullContact, we want to thank you, and assure you that all the Brewster users will have a good home.
