FullContact for Gmail: A Sleek New Experience in Chrome

If you have access to the internet, you most likely have an email address. We’re living in a day and age where email has such prominence that parents are even “parking” email addresses for their newborn (and unborn) children. Given the increased usage and widespread adoption of email, we continue to invest in our apps that enrich the email experience. Since we launched our Gmail extension for Chrome in 2012, it has been one of our most beloved apps. It makes insights about your contacts accessible without leaving your Gmail inbox. With our recent release, we’re excited to bring you updates and a few new features.

Streamlined Design

When we set out to update the design of FullContact for Gmail to better match our other apps, we knew our biggest challenge would be to show all the information you need most in a way that would scale for future growth.

The main change you’ll notice is the new navigation structure; instead of tabs, we now show stacked insights on one contact profile. As you install more insights, they’ll naturally stack up on a contact profile. Contacts are also now more streamlined, and you can see all the information available at a glance.

If you’ve been using FullContact in our web app, you’ll see that the design and experience of both are now consistent. Additionally, all the features you loved in the old extension are still here.

FullContact for Teams Support

Late last year, we released FullContact for Teams – a new subscription service that allows teams to collaborate on contacts and make sure shared connections are always up-to-date across address books.

One of the top requests we’ve received has been to show this team information within FullContact for Gmail. Now, when you hover over an email address, you’ll see whether someone on your team already knows that person and if there are any shared notes or tags to tell you more about the context of the relationship.

Adding contacts to your team and editing team contacts are easy to do from the Gmail extension as well.

As always, if you have any feedback, please email us at support@fullcontact.com or let us know what you think on Product Hunt. FullContact for Gmail supports both Gmail and Inbox by Gmail. Get the extension here.
