For a while now, our Developer Portal has been in need of a makeover. So over the past few months, we’ve been working to build out a better experience for the thousands of developers who use our API daily. Today, we’re ready to show it to you.
Here are some of the things you can expect from the new Developer Portal:
The biggest change we’ve made is to try and make the Portal a single starting point for anything you wish to do with the API. You can now check usage statistics, view previous invoices, check out our API docs, and manage billing info – all from the same central location.
And we’re not stopping there – expect to see a few other changes as we continue to improve the Portal.
Wondering about the details of your plan? Forgot your API key? You can find it quickly by logging into the new Portal. We’ve designed the new dashboard so your plan info is front and center, easy to find whenever you have a question.
Additionally, if you’re trying to get an idea of how much you’ve been using the API, check out our new Stats interface. The new Portal lets you slice and dice your API usage stats however you like.
(You can always monitor your usage programmatically by hitting our FullContact Account Stats API, too.)
Change Your Billing
Got an updated credit card? Need to download a past invoice? Head to the billing tab. You can easily upgrade your plan or change your info in one place.
Support & Docs
The Developer Portal is no longer just for account maintenance tasks – it now provides you with quick links to our Docs, Libraries/SDKs, and Support Knowledgebase, so you can find what you’re looking for faster.
We’ve even included a ‘cheat sheet’ of API calls, so you can get moving faster:
Lastly, we’ve simplified our account structure. For some time, many of you have had two different accounts – both with the same email address – to access our address book apps and our APIs. As of today, we’ve simplified things so that they’re now the same.
If you go to login to your API account and find yourself unable to get in, please perform a password reset – this will reset your password for both our API and our apps, and you should be good to go. From here on out, you’ll have one less set of credentials to keep up with.
(As always, if you have any issues, please contact our Support team and they’ll be glad to get you squared away.)
Try It Out
Enough talking. Go give the new Developer Portal a try – and let us know what you think!
