FullContact News - FullContact closes $10MM funding round, joined by Baird Capital March 25, 2015
DENVER, March 25th, 2015 – FullContact has announced today that it has closed its latest funding round of $10MM, bringing the total equity investment in the company to nearly $20MM. The round was led by Foundry Group and Baird Capital, with participation from Blue Note Ventures and 500 Startups.
As part of the funding, Baird’s Benedict Rocchio will be joining the board of FullContact. “As a firm, we had identified unified contact management as one of the top pressing challenges for digital consumers, professionals and enterprises” said Benedict Rocchio, Partner in Baird Capital’s Venture Capital group. “FullContact is on a trajectory to be the leading platform in the space and its innovative culture continues to extend the application of its products to solve more challenges across the digital ecosystem. We are thrilled to partner with this awesome company and help support the next phase of its growth.”
“We’re very excited to add Benedict and Baird Capital to the FullContact board and receive the long term support from a great financial institution. Even more exciting is the cultural fit – Baird recently ranked #5 on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list. The firm has a ‘No Jerks Allowed’ policy that meshes well with FullContact’s ‘Be Awesome with People’ credo,” said Bart Lorang, FullContact CEO.
The news of the investment comes on the heels of the company’s first major updates to both its iOS and Gmail-based applications, which help FullContact users to get more from their address books on mobile, on the web and inside of their existing email accounts.
FullContact for iOS version 4.1 brings about contact merging features that allow users to combine low-confidence contacts into a single listing, and select which fields are merged. FullContact for Gmail version 1.1 added a number of updates as well:
- Faster and smoother loading
- Support for Google Calendar and Google Contacts
- Favorites sync
- Auto-saving of interface customizations
The company intends to continue developing applications for more devices, with upcoming releases of FullContact for Mac and FullContact for Android.
FullContact is the leading provider of fully connected address book solutions for anyone who values a good network and being awesome with people. FullContact’s cross-platform suite of Apps and APIs enhance contacts with relational insights, while keeping them organized, synchronized, up to date, and safe.
